Our Roadshow is being spearheaded by the South African Chamber of Commerce UK and hosted by Standard Bank. The keynote speakers will be from Tax Consulting South Africa and Rewilding Africa.

This evening is part of the second roadshow in the United Kingdom, following recent ones to the UAE, Qatar and Netherlands. The focus this time being the Crown Dependencies of the UK.

MEET THE SPEAKERS

Jerry Botha

Jerry Botha has over 20 years’ experience in the field of taxation, holds his own FSB License, is a Master Reward Practitioner and serves on the Executive Board of the South African Reward Association (“SARA”), Chairs the SARA Employee Benefit Committee, and is a Certified Payroll Practitioner and Tax Practitioner. He is the managing partner of South Africa’s largest independent tax practice, enjoys presenting and is passionate about tax and international individuals. He has also authored the Lexis Nexis “Expatriate Tax” textbook, as critically acclaimed by Judge Dennis Davis.

Marisa Jacobs

Marisa Jacobs (BCom Marketing & Business Management) is the Head of Africorp Treasury, an Investec-licensed customised Treasury Outsourcing service. Marisa also serves as the Managing Director of Xpatweb which is the largest independent immigration practice in South Africa.

She has extensive knowledge and experience working with expatriates both inbound and outbound with a focus on providing solution-based services to meet the everchanging needs of international groups and professionals. This ranges from operating and managing confidential payroll for numerous expatriate groups to obtaining various SARS tax directives and rulings, Reserve Bank clearances for expatriates, and optimal banking solutions. The scope of this expertise enables her to provide an all-inclusive mob.

Other areas include cross-border payments, exchange control, and South African work permits for both individuals and employers with large groups of expats.
